Michelle Pokorny and her team have been awarded a Health Research Council (HRC) grant for their pilot project Integrating AI-Assisted Diagnosis of Ear Disease in Primary Care. This research aims to evaluate how artificial intelligence can support clinicians in diagnosing ear conditions, improving timely treatment and reducing inequities in access to care.
Building on this work, the team’s recent publication in BMC Health Services Research explores the integration of AI tools into primary care workflows, highlighting opportunities and challenges for implementation in real-world settings.
